一樣又不一樣? 探討慈鯛科視覺特徵影響其物種辨識 Similar But Not The Same : Visual Signals Guiding Species Recognition In Cichlids.
This study investigates how visual characteristics influence species recognition among cichlid fish. By observing various cichlid species under controlled conditions, we analyzed their body traits, including lines, spots, and coloration—and examined how these traits affect social interactions and group preferences. Behavioral experiments revealed that certain species could coexist peacefully, while others exhibited territorial aggression. Additionally, tests under different lighting conditions demonstrated that cichlids can still identify visual cues, suggesting that features like body markings play a crucial role in social recognition. These findings highlight the importance of visual signals in fish behavior and provide insights into the mechanisms of species identification in aquatic environments.
