噴泉不是水~是誰修改了物理定律 A Fountain Not Ready For You To Drink ~ Who Changes The Law Of Physics
The chain fountain, also known as the Mold effect, was discovered by Steve Mold, a British television science presenter and Oxford physics graduate, who is considered the discoverer of this phenomenon. He uploaded a video showing the process online. In the video, he pulled one end of a long chain made up of connected metal beads. As he lifted the head of the chain, when he pulled one end of a chain, the chain began to flow out of a glass container on itself, also like water or gasoline splash from a gas tank. This is fascinating because the chain doesn't simply fall from the edge; it actually flows upwards, forming a fountain-like shape before falling back down. Initially, it appears as if the beads are jumping on their own, but this is actually caused by the tension, inertia, and reaction forces within the chains. In our experiments, we analyze the rising height, falling rate, and landing time of the beads for different particle sizes to chain lengths, release heights, and analyzed the results using Tracker software. The final analyzed results matched the theory presented in the paper.
