創新偏心頂柱滑塊小型漸進成型機 Innovative Small Incremental Forming Machine With Eccentic Cylindrical Slider Tool Machanism
This project focuses on sheet metal incremental forming, and a machine was designed and manufactured to explore its application value. A ball head tool is used to extrude sheet metal, creating a single-point deformation. As the ball head tool moves along a specific path, the sheet metal deformation accumulates layer by layer, achieving the desired sheet metal shape. This 3D sheet metal shape can be used as a forming mold for chocolate in everyday life. The design incorporates an eccentric ejector slider mechanism to facilitate part processing. For control, we first use Python to convert the desired 2D shape and simulate the ball head tool path, which is then input into our machine for incremental forming. Therefore, complex sheet metal shapes can be formed without the traditional male and female dies of a punch press. This machine offers the advantages of miniaturization, low cost, automation, and rapid prototyping.
