Batteries collecting recycling machine using AI explores the effect of batteries on the environment. Our planet is contaminated with large numbers of batteries, which negatively affect the soil due to the toxic substances they contain, leading to significant soil degradation. Our singular aim is to significantly reduce the percentage of batteries ending up in landfills , and that’s to protect the plants , human health and preventing the potential extinction of vulnerable animal species . For this purpose , we designed a machine that collects batteries and separates them by type , as each type has a different composition , this will be functional with an AI powered detection . It will be also connected with an application to facilitate the process , allowing users to locate collection points ,see which type of batteries they can contribute and the donated batteries. Moving on to the recycling part , after collecting all the amount of batteries and separating them , we use a combination of electro_hydrometallurgy and direct recycling . First , we used mechanical seperation to initially dismantle and sort the battery . Than , we used chemical leaching to extract valuable metals and by using both combination the recovery rates will be maximize and the environmental impact will be minimize . Overall ,our collecting recycling machine will prove highly effective in achieving high recovery rates of essential metals such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel. This strategy helps conserve natural resources while supporting the circular economy by reintegrating these materials into the production cycle .
